Righteous living
What does the Bible say?
Honest questions about everyday life — forgiveness, family, purity, work and more — answered from Scripture with grace and truth.
#Forgiveness
Letting go of offence the way God let go of ours.
What does the Bible say about forgiveness?
We forgive because we have been forgiven. Forgiveness releases the debt — it does not deny the hurt.
Scripture calls us to forgive others "just as in Christ God forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32). Forgiveness is not pretending nothing happened; it is choosing to release the debt into God's hands. Jesus links our forgiving others with our walk with the Father (Matthew 6:14-15), and when Peter asked "how many times?", Jesus answered seventy times seven — a heart posture, not a counter. Forgiveness can be immediate while trust is rebuilt over time. If you are carrying a deep wound, our pastoral team would love to walk with you.

Forgiveness does not wait for an apology. It frees your heart from bitterness and leaves justice with God.
Romans 12 reminds us not to repay evil for evil and to leave room for God's justice. You can forgive in prayer, even when the other person never acknowledges what they did. Jesus invites us to bless and pray for those who mistreat us (Luke 6:27-28). Hebrews 12:15 warns that a root of bitterness defiles many — forgiveness protects your own heart. Healthy boundaries are still wise. Forgiving someone does not require you to remain in harm's way.

Honouring parents and building godly homes.
What does the Bible say about submission to parents?
Honouring father and mother is the first commandment with a promise — and it grows with us as we mature.
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right" (Ephesians 6:1). Honour your father and mother is the first commandment with a promise (Exodus 20:12). As children grow into adults, obedience matures into honour: respect, gratitude, care and seeking counsel. Scripture also calls parents not to provoke their children (Colossians 3:21). Our highest obedience belongs to God (Acts 5:29). If honouring a parent ever means being asked to sin or remain unsafe, please reach out — you are not alone.

Love, dating and sexuality God's way.
What does the Bible say about sex before marriage?
God designed sex as a gift for the covenant of marriage. Purity is a pursuit — and grace meets us there.
Scripture presents sex as God's good gift within the covenant of marriage (Hebrews 13:4) and calls us to flee sexual immorality, because our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). "It is God's will that you should be sanctified" — learning to control our bodies in holiness and honour (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If you have fallen short, there is no condemnation for those in Christ. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive" (1 John 1:9). Our pastors are here for honest, confidential conversations.

Work, study and service done as unto the Lord.
What does the Bible say about diligence and excellence?
Whatever we do, we do it with all our heart, as working for the Lord. Excellence is worship.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord" (Colossians 3:23). Our work, studies and service are acts of worship. "Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings" (Proverbs 22:29). "Diligent hands will rule" (Proverbs 12:24). Daniel distinguished himself because an excellent spirit was in him (Daniel 6:3). Excellence is not perfectionism; it is faithfulness with what God has placed in our hands.

Start small, stay faithful and lean on community. God gives grace for the next step.
Proverbs points us to the ant, which works without being told (Proverbs 6:6-11). Paul urges believers to work quietly and earn their own living (2 Thessalonians 3:10-12). Practical steps: commit your plans to the Lord, break tasks into small pieces, ask someone to hold you accountable and celebrate faithfulness. "Let us not become weary in doing good" (Galatians 6:9).

Honesty, speech and living the same in private and public.
What does the Bible say about honesty and integrity?
Let your yes be yes. People of integrity walk securely because they have nothing to hide.
"Each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully" (Ephesians 4:25). "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely" (Proverbs 10:9). Jesus taught that our yes should mean yes and our no, no (Matthew 5:37). Our words should build others up and give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29).
